Welcome to the Inzozi Center, a 501c3 nonprofit in the Gashora Community of Rwanda. Designed to encourage literacy and learning skills, the Inzozi Center is open to children of all ages and provides free access to books, activities, and special events. As a learning center in Rwanda, we support our families a variety of ways with an intentional focus on building and empowerment.

Inzozi Means Dreams
Inzozi is the Kinyarwandan word for dreams, and the goal is to empower dreams through literacy and learning.
The Inzoi Center is a unique opportunity to change the world of a child one moment at a time. Cradled in the heart of the Mwendo Community, the center opens its doors to provide adventure, opportunities, support and love every day. With a passion for education, members of the center develop programming to provide spaces where students and sometimes adults can explore their world through experimental learning, access to resources, and volunteer supports.
Our Vision
Our community is BRILLIANT, BEAUTIFUL and POWERFUL, therefore our commitment is to keep culture and community at the forefront of our work. We fully believe and develop a bilingual program, focus on literacy in English and the native tongue of Kinyarwandan.
We work within our community to develop local mentorship and provide training to allow them to teach students local traditions, crafts, folklore, cooking and much more. This way, we help towards developing the local economy and fostering relationships.
This innovative approach towards bridging academics and empowering practices shows a significant impact in at-risk communities that often create generational cycles that are unable to fully come out of poverty, both finacially and emotionally.

Homework Assistance
Our team of dedicated volunteers provides support for students of all ages, helping them tackle challenging subjects, complete assignments, and develop effective study habits. By offering personalized guidance and encouragement, we aim to empower learners to excel academically and build confidence in their abilities.
Literacy Classes
Recognizing the importance of literacy for personal and economic growth, we provide literacy classes for all ages designed to help individuals develop essential reading, writing, and communication skills. Our supportive and inclusive learning environment empowers adult learners to overcome barriers and unlock new opportunities for personal and professional advancement.
